October 17th, 2025, Eight Deuce #50 — a seventeen-player field and the tournament that closed out the season. He knocked out four of them and finished third for $175 in prize money — as many knockouts as anybody made that night, in his first appearance at the table.

Eight tournaments in, that debut is still the high-water mark: $175 in career prize money, 5 knockouts, one cash. He was seventh at #53 in March 2026, the only other time he has finished inside the top ten.

The seven tournaments since have been an education. That is not unusual — this league has a habit of introducing itself politely and then taking the furniture. Players with far longer records than his have gone longer than seven tournaments without a cash.

What is worth holding on to is the shape of that first night. Four knockouts in a full field, in the tournament that closed the season, from a player nobody at the table had seen before. Joe arrived knowing what he was doing. The rest is a matter of how many Fridays he gives it.
