The Series Comes Back After Three Years, and Lance Cain Wins on Debut
Omaha Hi/Lo again to open it, and the biggest WSOP pool yet.
The last World Series of Parker event was played in March 2018. Canterberry has closed since then and Eight Deuce has opened in its place, and on Friday the series started again with the same game it started with the first time: Omaha Hi/Lo.
Lance Cain won it in the first WSOP event he has ever played. He made five of the eleven eliminations and took $162.
Eric Denny, who won the 2017 Omaha event and is the reigning WSOP Champion, rebought, made four knockouts and lost heads-up for $108. Between them the last two took nine of the eleven.
Eight players and four rebuys made $270, the largest pool the series has assembled — the old high was the $315 of the heads-up event, but that one ran on a different structure.

The undercard
Andrew Shier made two knockouts and bubbled in third. Charlie Drotar rebought and came fourth, and Angela Cain was fifth in her first WSOP event, two places behind her husband.
Lee Ugarte, who won the last event this series held, rebought and was the first player out after thirty-three minutes.
The bigger picture
Four more events to come, each a different game, and the winner of the season table takes the WSOP Champion trophy. Unlike last time, the series stands on its own this year: there is no combined table with another league, so the points on offer are these five nights and nothing else.
