Four series of the World Series of Parker have been played, and exactly two men have ever won one. Lance Cain is the second — WSOP Champion in 2021, the year he took two of the five events in the series.

That season began in February at WSOP 2-1: eight players, five knockouts, $162 for first. He closed it in October at 2-5. Nobody outside of one other player has ever put a WSOP title on their record.

The strange part is how long it took to arrive. The fiftieth tournament of his career was the first one he won. Forty-two of those were Canterberry nights that produced a single runner-up finish and nothing better. Then the new league opened and the whole thing turned over.

Since 2021 he has added three Eight Deuce wins — #17 in July 2022 for $365, his biggest payday, #38 in August 2024, and #50 in October 2025, the tournament that closed out that season. He also finished third in the 2025 Player of the Year race.

His heads-up matches are the longest in Eight Deuce play, averaging 22:07. Thirteen appearances, five won. He carries 8 runner-up finishes across his career, and 18 rebuys, fifth-most in the league — he does not fold his way to a cash.

119 events, 5 wins, 23 cashes, 92 knockouts and $4,057 in career prize money. Eleven years in, and the trophy on his shelf is one of only four ever awarded.
