World Series of Parker · Event 2-3
Eric Denny Wins Back to Back, and Takes Out Six of the Nine
Big O, a game the series had never played — and Angela Cain’s best result yet.
June brought a game the series had not played before: Big O, five-card Omaha split high and low. More cards means more of everything — more draws, more counterfeits, more players convinced they have half the pot. Eric Denny made six of the nine eliminations and won $135.
Six of nine is the most one-sided night the WSOP has had. He knocked out the players who finished second, third, fourth, fifth, seventh and eighth — which is to say everybody except the man who went out sixth.
It is his second win in a row and his third in the series, one clear of the field, and it comes in a game nobody at the table had played here before.
Angela Cain was second for $90, her best WSOP result in three events, with her husband Lance Cain third.
