Mickaliger and Buzbee Take Out Eleven of Thirteen
Two men accounted for almost the entire field, and the longest tournament of the season ended between them.
For the second month running the final two had done nearly all the damage. Rick Mickaliger made six knockouts and Tom Buzbee five — eleven of the thirteen who went home — in a tournament that ran four hours and fifty-eight minutes, the longest of the season. Mickaliger closed it in nine minutes for $121.
It is his second league win, eight months after his first, and both have come this season.
Tom takes $70 for second, his fourth cash of the season. Kelly Kruegel was third for $50 with two knockouts, a second money finish in a row after her runner-up in January. Josh Reel completed the money in fourth for $25.

The undercard
Eric Denny bubbled in fifth. Jerry Walker played his first league tournament and finished tenth. And Steve McLean had a night to forget — out first after thirty-four minutes, the quickest exit this league has recorded.
The bigger picture
Eight tournaments, seven different winners, and the first repeat of the season belongs to Mickaliger.
David Doole leads on 103 points despite an eleventh place, sixteen clear of Charlie Drotar. Behind them Tom is on 85 and Mickaliger on 75 from five tournaments — three fewer than the leader.
