Rick Mazza Ends It in Under Three Minutes
Three players tied for the most knockouts, none of them reached the final two, and the man who won made only two.
Once it got heads-up it was over almost at once. Rick Mazza played four hours and one minute and then needed two minutes and forty-nine seconds to finish it, for $118 — his fourth league win, and his first in eleven months.
The man opposite him had been away even longer. Paul Denny won the first league tournament he ever played, back in October 2008, and has turned up four times since. He takes $75 for second.
Josh Reel was third for $42 with three knockouts, Charlie Drotar fourth and $28 for a second cash in a row, and Mike Conner completed the money in fifth for $22, also with three.

The undercard
David Doole bubbled in sixth. The night’s hard-luck card belonged to Lori Mazza, who shared eighth and made three knockouts — as many as anybody in the room, and more than the winner. Duane Barone was the first player out, gone after an hour and forty minutes.
The bigger picture
Two tournaments, two different winners, and Doole still leads on 32 points without having won either — a second and a sixth.
Five points behind him is Mike Conner, who has cashed in both. Nobody else has played more than one.
