Canterberry Poker League · Tournament #44
Six Knockouts, and Skippy Loses Again
Scott Dishong took out more than a third of the field and finished second for the second time in three tournaments.
Fifteen players went home and Scott Dishong sent six of them — and finished second. Lee Ugarte won it with three, after four hours and thirty-eight minutes and an eight-minute heads-up match, for $145.
It is Lee’s fifth league win and his first in eight months.
Skippy takes $75. Three league tournaments played, two cashes, a win and a runner-up — and on Friday he put out all three of the men who finished behind him in the money.
Duane Barone was third for $45, his first cash since winning in February 2011. David Doole took fourth and $30, and Mike Conner completed the money in fifth for $25.
