Canterberry Poker League · Tournament #70
Warren Mervin Goes to Nine, Josh Reel Goes to Two
One of them now leads the all-time win list on his own. The other became the first man to win this league twice.
Two months ago three men were tied on eight Canterberry Poker League wins. Warren Mervin closed the season by taking six of the seventeen knockouts and winning his ninth — four hours and forty-two minutes, $100, and the all-time lead to himself.
Dawn Bjork was second for $60, her first cash of the season in her fifth appearance, and lost the heads-up match in seven and a half minutes. Dave Grewe took third and $45, the second cash of a seven-tournament career.
Erik Treiber was fourth for $35. David Doole completed the money in fifth for $30 with four knockouts, more than anyone but the winner.
